Who's involved
The Inquiry is co-led by Prof. Beth Perry (Urban Institute, University of Sheffield), Prof. Catherine Durose (Heseltine Institute, University of Liverpool), and Prof Liz Richardson (Department of Politics, University of Manchester).
The Inquiry is also supported by three groups:
Community Reference Group - A collective of individuals with expertise in co-producing research with university partners, and who have been engaged in bringing lived experience to the research process. Members represent organisations including Manchester Settlement, Homebaked Community Land Trust (Liverpool), Rekindle Foundation, Sheffield's Women in Community Action (Arbourthorne), and Community Pride CIC (Salford). This group plays a vital role in shaping the Inquiry and guiding the Co-Leads as we work with the Inquiry Panel.
Inquiry Panel - Key stakeholders, with influence and credibility to help secure traction/ impact, including UKRI funders, research users, policy partners, infrastructure organisations, and leading experts on key issues such as metrics, ethics and decolonisation. Panel members have been chosen to bring together those with the power, systems knowledge and influence to hold the higher education sector to account to deliver on its own ambitions for the co-production of research.
Participatory Research Funders Group - comprised of colleagues in key research, research management and development roles at our respective institutions. This group will steer the Co-Leads, ensure we are connected to wider institutional conversations and will help the Inquiry's recommendations 'land' and impact within our own institutions.
